Cristian Zanartu, M.D.
Integrative Internal Medicine
Dr. Zanartu is a licensed board-certified internist. He received his medical degree at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, in Santiago, Chile graduating summa cum laude. He then completed his residency training at Mount Sinai West hospital in Internal medicine and went on to complete a fellowship in Palliative Care medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, both in New York City.
Dr. Zanartu brings his integrative and holistic approach to Flatiron Family Medicine and is eager to collaborate with patients in managing a wide range of medical issues, from common primary care to complex pain syndromes usually requiring a specialist’s care, to primary level mental health care. As well, he is a registered provider for the New York Medical Marijuana program and has significant experience using this to treat conditions such as chronic pain, opioid dependency, post-traumatic stress disorder and disease-associated lack of appetite. He is also interested in providing compassionate and empathetic care to the LGBTQ community of New York. Dr. Zanartu is trilingual and speaks fluent English, Spanish and conversational French. Dr. Zanartu is excited to be joining the Flatiron Family medical team.
